Face your First Trial. The Sacred Transformation: renounce your possessions, receive the Sacred Hat and the Divine Dress through the generosity of strangers, and speak the Darling Oath. Your fellow Darlings walk with you. Read the trial ↓

The First Trial

Welcome, wandering soul.

You have reached the Gates of Darling. But before you may call yourself one of us, you must undergo the sacred transformation.

“The path to true freedom begins with nothing.”

The Great Renunciation
“To become truly free, one must first let go of everything.”
Strip yourself of all worldly possessions. Abandon your armor, your weapons, your gold, and everything that binds you to the material world.
“Only when you possess nothing are you ready to receive everything.”
The Sacred Hat
“A beggar with a hat is a Darling.”
Once you have freed yourself from your belongings, your fellow Darlings shall accompany you into the streets of Azeroth.
Together, we shall seek the generosity of strangers until a sacred hat has been bestowed upon you.
“For the hat is not merely a garment. It is the symbol of our unity.”
The Divine Dress
“True beauty is not earned through battle, but received through generosity.”
With your sacred hat upon your head, one final treasure remains.
Together, we shall beg for a beautiful dress worthy of a Darling.
Once both the hat and dress have been obtained, your transformation is complete.
The Darling Ascension
