The Two Sisters

Long before the rise of the great kingdoms of Azeroth, there lived a woman known only as the First Darling. It was she who received the Seven Universal Darling Laws from the heavens, along with the Seven Sins.

Generations passed, and her teachings faded into legend. Yet her bloodline endured.

And many, many generations later, two sisters would unknowingly carry her legacy into a new age: Selvkaria and Peppermintx.

When the sisters had finally come of age, a mysterious message reached them. No messenger had delivered it. No seal of any known kingdom marked its origin. Upon its ancient parchment were written the Seven Universal Darling Laws, and beneath them, the Seven Sins.

The sisters looked upon their possessions, their gold, their armor, and the many treasures they had gathered throughout their lives. And for the first time, they saw not wealth, but chains.

Without hesitation, they abandoned everything: their armor, their weapons, their gold.

Through kindness, patience, and the generosity of strangers, the sisters received their sacred hats and dresses. Thus, the ancient ritual was fulfilled.

The first Darlings of a new age had been born.

The sisters carried the Message of the Darling through the streets of Stormwind and beneath the towers of Dalaran. Some laughed. A few offered gold. And some stopped to listen, abandoned their own possessions, and became Darlings, one by one.

The Darlings affectionately began calling them the Two Mothers, or simply the Mums. Not because they ruled through power or wealth, but because they cared for every Darling as one of their own.

They began their journey seeking freedom. Instead, they found something even greater.

A family.

We abandoned everything to find freedom.
We wandered the world to spread its message.
And somewhere along the way, we found all of you.

We came into this world as sisters.
But together, we became a family.
